Adventure Waterfall Elopement at Delphi Falls in Upstate New York
Mackenzie and Garrett’s love story is one for the books. When they decided to elope on Easter Sunday, they knew exactly where they wanted to tie the knot: Delphi Falls, a beautiful waterfall near Syracuse, New York.
Mackenzie & Garrett had originally planned on having their wedding in 2023, surrounded by all their friends and loved ones. But a last minute change in their plans set in motion a last minute elopement, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day!
When Mackenzie reached out to me to let me know the change of plans and asked if I was free for their elopement, I was sitting in a cafe in Utah and nearly jumped with joy (yes, there are witnesses). I am so honored that M+G asked me to capture this day with them (and that the weather held up for us). It’s hard to believe that this whole day was put together in two weeks – yes, you read that correctly! With immediate family around them, it was a perfectly intimate day, just about the two of them and their love.
As the sun rose over the falls, Mackenzie and Garrett exchanged heartfelt vows in front of a small group of their closest family and friends. The sound of the rushing water provided a soothing soundtrack as they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as newlyweds.
After the ceremony, we explored the beautiful surroundings, capturing candid shots of the couple as they basked in the glow of their newlywed status. The day ended with a champagne toast and a delicious Easter brunch.
Mackenzie and Garrett’s last-minute elopement at Delphi Falls was a truly unforgettable experience. We are so grateful to have been a part of their special day and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness. I can’t wait to capture their now-vow-renewal next year, and see what a year of love looks like for this couple!
