An adventurous and explorative engagement shoot In Detroit, Michigan
There’s no place quite like Detroit, Michigan for an engagement shoot. The city’s rich history and vibrant culture provide a stunning backdrop for capturing the love between Abbey and Kristopher. Recently, I had the pleasure of traveling to a new city, and working with this beautiful couple for their engagement shoot in Detroit.
Our first stop was the Eastern Market, a bustling hub of activity on the weekends. We wandered through the stalls, taking in the sights and smells of fresh produce and flowers. Since we were there on a Monday, the storefronts were closed and the market wasn’t bustling, but that made it perfect to get some intimate shots of A+K. This place holds a lot of memories for the couple, as they go there often on the weekends and spend some quality time together.
Next, we headed to the Z Lot, a converted parking garage turned trendy event space. The industrial setting provided a unique contrast to the softer, romantic moments we captured earlier. The couple snuggled close as we took advantage of the unique architecture and city views.
Finally, we made our way to Belle Isle, a picturesque island park in the Detroit River. The lush greenery and sparkling water served as the perfect setting for the couple’s final shots. As the sun began to set, we captured the couple’s love and laughter against the stunning natural surroundings.
Overall, it was a memorable day filled with love and adventure. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this sweet couple and am grateful to have been a part of such a special moment in their lives. I can’t wait to capture their wedding in Buffalo, New York later in 2023!
